IPL - Hair Removal & Skin Rejuvenation
IPL (Intense pulse light)
IPL, or intense pulse light, is a technology similar to laser. Instead of a single wavelength of light as with a laser, IPL uses a bright light in front of which filters are placed which filter out most wavelengths except those taken up by pigment and blood vessels, depending on the filter used. The light energy penetrates just below the skin's surface, damaging either the melanin (skin pigment) or blood vessels. The body's natural skin repair mechanisms then remove the damaged tissue and produce a smoother skin appearance.
Rejuvenate And Restore Your Skin
Constant exposure to the sun can damage the skin and cause common skin imperfections such as redness, freckles, age spots and uneven skin texture. And to help you combat this skin damage, Clearskincare Clinics’ simple and affordable IPL Rejuvenation Treatments works to rejuvenate your skin and visibly reduce skin imperfections. IPL Skin Rejuvenation delivers intense IPL light to the skin and is absorbed by unwanted skin pigmentations, causing the pigment to shatter and seal the surrounding small blood vessels. The heat energy of IPL stimulates new collagen production, firms the skin and reduces skin pore size, resulting in more perfect looking skin.
Who is this treatment suitable for?
IPL Rejuvenation is only suitable for clients with fair skin.
What should I expect after my treatment?
There is redness and heat in the treated skin that disappears within 30 minutes.
How does it feel?
During IPL Rejuvenation, you will experience a sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band on the skin, each time the IPL is applied.
What can I expect after my treatment?
Immediately following your treatment you may feel “sunburnt” and the treated area may be red for several hours. Clients who have pigmentation will notice the pigment darken after the treatment. The pigmentation hardens and flakes off gradually over the next 2 weeks.
How long until I see results?
In the weeks after the treatment, the fragmented pigment is absorbed by the body leaving little trace of the pigment or freckle.
What areas can I have treated?
IPL Rejuvenation can treat anywhere where the sun has caused damage and abnormal pigmentation e.g. the face, chest, neck and hands.
How many treatments are recommended?
Improvements can be seen with every treatment, but a course of 3-6 treatments is recommended every 4 weeks from maximum results.

Prior to your first IPL treatment, your therapist will conduct a consultation with you to determine:
• Treatment expectations
• Pain tolerance (even though IPL technology is much gentler than traditional lPL & Laser treatments, some clients require the use of an anaesthetic cream prior to IPL treatment)
• The exact treatment area and pricing
• Treatment schedule & appointments booked in advance
• Skin analysis
• Perform a patch test to check your compatibility with your chosen treatment
• After care information and what to expect
All the above will result in a more effective course of IPL treatments for you. Please take the time at this stage to ask us any questions.
